The Evil Within, a survival horror game, is going to be developed by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami and studio Tango Gameworks, according to the game’s publisher.
Bethesda Softworks announced that The Evil Within will come out for the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and next-generation consoles. That presumably includes Wii U, PS4, and Xbox 720.
All next-generation consoles are expected to be released by the time The Evil Within release date rolls around, as the game is scheduled for sometime in 2014.
Mikami has a 20-year history in the video game industry and is considered the father of the popular survival horror genre thanks to his Resident Evil experience.
“We’re incredibly proud to announce The Evil Within,” said Mikami in a press release.
“My team and I are committed to creating an exciting new franchise, providing fans the perfect blend of horror and action.”
Not much else is known about The Evil Within, however, there is a trailer below. Does the teaser make you excited for the new game?
