Dark Souls 2 contest allows you to design your own in-game shield

Dark Souls 2 News: Coming to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, Dark Souls 2 has an anticipated 2013 release date and may have your custom shield design, too.

Dark Souls 2 contest for Xbox 360 and PS3

A Dark Souls 2 shield design contest has started from the publisher of this PS3, Xbox 360 and PC video game, Namco Bandai Games. You will have to channel your inner medieval craftsman and create the best shield design; showing off your skills as a warrior artist. Once you are done then you will have to submit your works of art and watch the votes tally up from fellow Dark Souls 2 fans.

The submission period for this contest is now through May 13 on the Dark Souls 2 Facebook page. Beginning on May 14, no further submissions will be taken and the contest enters into a voting only phase until May 20. On that day the shield designs that receive the most fan votes will be submitted for a final round of judging by the Dark Souls 2 development team at FromSoftware in Japan.

The From Software team will then select the final six winning designs to be included with the Dark Souls 2 game itself. The winners will be announced at San Diego Comic Con taking place from July 18 through July 21.

Submit your finished designs via Facebook before May 14, 2013.
