News: The Nov. 27 release date for Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault on PS3 is here, while the PS Vita version has been delayed into 2013.
The Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault release date has arrived, at least for one system, the PS3.
While the Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault PS Vita release date has been delayed, the PS3 version is available right now on both a Blu-ray disc and via the PlayStation Network. Either way to buy this game, it costs just $20.
For that price, Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault features the franchise’s classic third-person camera perspective and an insane weapons, something Insomniac Games’ now-ten-year-old series has been known for. Its also adds new tower defense gameplay, according to the developer.
Building and defending bases will be part of the gameplay over five levels on three different planets in the Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault universe. Playable characters include Ratchet, Clank and Captain Qwark.
Missing from this latest outing, temporarily at least, will be cross-save and competitive cross-play support. Buying one copy of Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault was supposed to enable you to link up between PS3 and PS Vita for exclusive gameplay.
With the PS Vita version of Full Frontal Assault release date delayed until January 2013, those cross-compatible features will have to wait.
Fear now, Insomniac Games is giving eager players the first piece of DLC for the title, the Mini-Boss Skin Pack, as a bonus with the purchase of Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault for PS3.
