Batman GOTY Edition News: The cast of the upcoming Batman: Arkham City GotY Edition take to YouTube to tell you about their voiceover work in this behind-the-scenes trailer.
Preparing for next week's Batman: Arkham City Game Of the Year Edition release date and the Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC launching on the same day, Warner Bros. released a YouTube behind-the-scenes video of the game's voice-over cast. It includes interviews with Kevin Conroy, who voices Batman, Mark Hamill, who voices The Joker, and Stana Katic, who voices Talia al Ghul. УI've been doing the [Batman] character for over 20 years,Ф Conroy says in the trailer. УThe audience would know in a second if I did something inauthentic and they'd call me on it.Ф
The behind-the-scenes video isn't just limited to the Batman: Arkham City GotY Edition cast, however. Game director Sefton Hill and lead narrative designer Paul Crocker talk about their experiences with the actors. УBatman: Arkham City is essentially a character-driven experience,Ф said Hill. УSo the most important thing is to have the right voices for those characters. Working with Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy is fantastic for us. Like most people, when you read the comics, these are the voices you hear of Batman and Joker. It's very hard to imagine the game without them.Ф
Hill meanwhile commented on working with Mark Hamill, saying, УMark sometimes thinks he actually is Joker, so he turns up and he just nails it. In fact, we rewrote all of the dialogue to refit into where he was taking Joker.Ф That's when you know you're good at your voiceover gig.
