Finally: Red Dead Redemption pre-order bonuses on Xbox Live, PSN next week @ Gaming Target

News: A month shy of a year, we the goods are available to all.

Are you still feeling lousy about not preordering Red Dead Redemption a year ago and missing out of the downloadable bonuses that came along with being an early bird? A month shy of a year later, Rockstar Games is selling the items on Xbox Live and PSN for a dollar and coming through on a long-overdue promise.

The items will start appearing in the Xbox Live Marketplace and PS Store next week, Tuesday, April 12. In case you forgot what the pre-order bonuses includes, here are the basic descriptions:

The Deadly Assassin Outfit
John Marston's Deadly Assassin outfit causes your Dead Eye meter to regenerate at twice the speed. With more Dead Eye, you have more time to place each shot with total accuracy, making you the deadliest gunslinger in any fight.

The Golden Guns Weapon Pack
Available for use in the Red Dead Redemption Single Player story, the player who wields the Golden Guns receives more Fame for each kill. The more Fame you get, the more in-game side missions become available. So there will be more opportunities to duel, more kidnapped townsfolk to rescue and you can bribe lawmen for less.

The War Horse
There are countless horses to be found in the massive world of Red Dead Redemption, but none is stronger, faster or tougher than the War Horse. Whether storming gang hideouts, exploring the wilderness for hidden treasure, or outrunning the law, the War Horse gives gunslingers an advantage in nearly every situation.

Rockstar apologized for the long wait for this DLC and cited "unanticipated technical" for the delays. The company also reassured gamers that L.A. Noire preorder bonuses will be sold as DLC "much, much sooner. Now that you're going to take a chance of weeks or months of regret again, right?
