Sumthing Else Music Works has announced they will be releasing the official score to Remedy's Alan Wake on July 20. It'll be available to download from iTunes as well as Sumthing Else's online store. A CD version will also be available in stores.
The score will feature 18 tracks penned by composer Petri Alanko. Alan Wake is Alanko's first foray into video game composing and he seems to have enjoyed it.
"Scoring Alan Wake was all about finding the motives of the characters and what forces them onwards," says composer Petri Alanko. "Composing a romantic score for a psychothriller might not seem obvious, but to me it was the right approach for the game - and I thank Remedy for believing in the decisions I made."
The Alan Wake score will be released one week ahead of the game's first downloadable episode, which is titled "The Signal."
