News: Rockstar wins the Mexican standoff.

After a slight delay, the NPD Group has released their report on the bestselling games and consoles in May and Red Dead Redemption has hogtied the competition. The Xbox 360 version of Rockstar's western adventure took the top spot with sales of almost 950,000 while the PS3 version was close behind in the second slot with sales of almost 570,000. Nintendo's Super Mario Galaxy 2 landed at #3 with another top ten appearance from the mustachioed plumber at #7 (New Super Mario Bros. Wii). Rounding out the top five is the octagonal fighters of UFC Undisputed 2010.

Two other games debuted in this month's top ten: Microsoft's long-delayed Alan Wake lit up the eighth spot and the Xbox 360 version of Skate 3 landed strong at number 10.
