News: Jimmy Fallon gets the scoop.
Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime appeared on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon a few hours ago where he demoed Donkey Kong Country Returns. After showcasing the Wii game, Fallon and Fils-Aime got to talking about the 3DS and when gamers will get a chance to play the 3DS.
Instead of dodging the question, Fils-Aime came right out and admitted that the handheld will be released "Next year."
Previously, Nintendo had announced that the system would be released before March 31, 2011 and many gamers hoped this meant a Holiday 2010 release.
Oh well, I guess we'll have to content ourselves with Donkey Kong Country Returns this Christmas. It's not 3D, but it does look like a barrel of fun.
We'll have more soon.
