News: Oh that Jaffe, he's so crazy.

Back in 2008, David Jaffe told the world that he was working on a new version of Twisted Metal for the PlayStation 3. Earlier this year, he further hinted that the game would be a complete reboot.

But now it sounds like he (and his team at Eat. Sleep. Play.) might not be working on a new Twisted Metal at all.

In response to a fake E3 listing for Twisted Metal: Harbor City (which was the working title for Twisted Metal Black 2), Jaffe had this to say on his blog:

Just for the record: Even tho we can not talk about what we are working on (it is Sony's game so they will announce it when they want to), there is NOTHING on this list that we are making or have ANYTHING to do with. I guess it's possible this list is real tho but I really doubt it given the crazy errors and brain farts that I already mentioned. Kind of hope it is real tho cause MAN I would LOVE to see a new Road Rash!!! :) Altho it would suck if Sony had someone else making a Twisted Metal. I'd love to think if there were ever gonna revive that series they would come to us first. But hey, not my call.

So just what is Eat. Sleep. Play. working on if its not a new Twisted Metal? Hopefully we'll find out at E3 (which, according to the blog post, Jaffe may or may not be attending).
