News: Gay Tony and The Lost will not be happy.

Citing "a last minute game submission request from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe to edit some of the in-game Liberty City radio station, television, and internet content," Rockstar has announced that the release of the PC and PlayStation 3 versions of Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City will be delayed two weeks.

Even though the game is only being edited for the European version of the game, the new release date of April 13 applies to everyone in North America as well (European gamers won't actually get the game until April 16). When asked why they didn't just launch in America as planned on March 30, Rockstar said, "This was a tough decision but with a simultaneous release, everyone can experience multiplayer simultaneously, take part in online events together, be on level ground on leaderboards, etc."

To paraphrase one Barney Stinson, we're being punished because we're awesome.

Rockstar had also planned several online tournaments through their Rockstar Games Social Club for April 2nd and 3rd. These events will now be moved to April 16th and 17th and will be replaced on the schedule with with one for another game. If you've got any requests as to what that game should be, be sure to post them to the Rockstar Newswire blog.

Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City, which contains The Ballad of Gay Tony and The Lost and Damned, has been available on the Xbox 360 since October. As a standalone expansion, it won't require a copy of Grand Theft Auto IV to play.

We'll have more soon.
