Eye of Judgment: Legends coming to PSP @ Gaming Target

News: Monster-battling collectible card game to be released exclusively on the PlayStation Store this Spring.

After hinting at it for what feels like an eternity, Sony is ready to officially announce (via the PlayStation.Blog) that the Eye of Judgment series is coming to the PSP this Spring.

Eye of Judgment: Legends will bring the monster-battling collectible card game to the PSP in a streamlined version that no longer requires the PlayStation Eye camera peripheral but also adds additional cards and modes. Legends will introduce 30 new cards to the Eye of Judgment universe with downloadable expansions planned for after the game's release. A new single-player Story Mode and new multiplayer modes will also made their debut in Eye of Judgment: Legends.

Like other competetive collectible card games, players will have to build the ultimate deck to destroy their opponent:

"" The PSP version's digital cards can be earned by playing through the game, traded wirelessly from one PSP to another, won in battle with friends and enemies, and even bought from the PlayStation Store in future downloadable content releases. Each card features a monster, dragon, mage or mythical warrior with their own special skills ready to do battle against your opponent, and some cards are rare to come across. However, players must carefully choose among the cards they have collected to compile their ultimate deck. The cards are not lifeless images ? these creatures come to life on screen springing out of their card and into attack, battling real time as they hack, slash and cast spells on each other. Eye of Judgment: Legends will be released exclusively as a digital download from the PlayStation Store this Spring.
