News: Halo Legends is going to be huge. See just how huge inside.

The Halo panel at this year's Comic-Con has revealed a few more details about the upcoming anime compilation Halo Legends.

According to the panel, "Codename Duel" will be the name of the segment produced by Production I.G. (the studio behind Ghost in the Shell) and it will be a seven-part episodic series. According to 1UP, it will "will explore the hierarchy of the Covenant's Grunts". The episodes will also be animated in different styles, with some using traditional cel animation while others will be created using CGI.

Another storyline segment will involve the birth of the SPARTAN project, which will be split into two parts. None of the other segments were revolved, but according to 1UP, they will explore "different facets of the Halo universe."

With the news that Halo Legends will be made up of multi-part segments, it's likely it will be a bigger undertaking than similar anime compilations (such as The Animatrix and Batman: Gotham Knight) were.

Finally, Microsoft revealed the first trailer for Halo Legends at the panel, and you can see it right here:

We'll have more soon.
