News: Just eight days (a week) ahead of The Beatles: Rock Band.
Activision has opened up the official website for Guitar Hero 5 at GH5.GuitarHero.com and announced that the game's official release date will be September 1, just eight days ahead of Harmonix's The Beatles: Rock Band.
The site is rather bare bones at the moment, but it does allow users to register for Activision's 5 Tickets, 5 Concerts Sweepstakes. The contest is a musical scavenger hunt through a series of blogs, TV shows and online media to identify bands that will be a part of the Guitar Hero 5 setlist. The winner of the contest will receive five tickets to five different concerts for a concert venue near their hometown. The contest is open from now until June 25.
Guitar Hero 5 will be coming to the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360.
