News: More European acts, heavy metal from Ferret and Metal Blade and some pop rock make up the May schedule.

With Activision making the second Nirvana Track Pack available to download for Guitar Hero: World Tour owners today, it's time to start thinking about what songs will be chosen as downloadable tracks next month. Thankfully, the company has revealed the first three weeks of the May download calendar for the game:

May 7 - Ferret/Metal Blade Track Pack
This track pack, featuring songs from the independant metal labels Ferret and Metal Blade, will be offered to Guitar Hero: World Tour for free. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 users will be able to download the entire pack while Wii owners can download the tracks individually. The three songs in the pack include:

  • Chimaira - "On Broken Glass"
  • The Devil Wears Prada - "Dez Moines"
  • Unearth - "Grave of Opportunity"

May 14 - Pop Rock Track Pack
  • Angels & Airwaves - "Everything's Magic"
  • OneRepublic - "Stop and Stare"
  • Pink - "So What"

    May 21 - European Track Pack 5
  • Cody ChesnuTT - "Look Good in Leather" (UK)
  • Housse de Racket - "Oh Yeah!" (France)
  • In Flames - "Disconnected" (Sweden)

The Pop Rock Track Pack and European Track Pack 5 will be available on the PlayStation 3 (for $5.49) and the Xbox 360 (for 440 Microsoft Points). Every song from both packs will also be available individually for $1.99 each on the PS3, 160 Microsoft Points each on the Xbox 360 or 200 Wii Points each on the Wii.
