News: Can one game constitute a 'store'?
A few weeks after opening a store dedicated to Xbox Live Arcade downloads, Amazon has branched out to WiiWare releases as well.
While the Wii's download service doesn't merit a full-fledged store yet, Amazon has launched the service by making WiiWare's most critically acclaimed title, World of Goo, avaialble for purchase. As with the Xbox Live Store, purchasing World of Goo through Amazon will get the purchaser a download code to enter into their Wii to download the game. Obviously, an Internet connection is required.
While nothing is official yet, it wouldn't surprise me to see more WiiWare, Virtual Console and PlayStation Network titles on Amazon in the near future.
