News: Spectacular was written by the High School Musical guys, so its kind of a big deal.
Nickelodeon has announced they will team up with fellow Viacom company Harmonix to release two songs from the upcoming TV-Movie Spectacular! (which includes original music from High School Musical songwriters Robbie Nevil and Matthew Gerrard) on the Rock Band Store.
Two songs from the movie performed by star Nolan Gerard Funk, "Break My Heart" and "Don't Tell Me", will appear on the Xbox Live Marketplace on February 3 and on the PlayStation Network on February 5. Each song will be available to download for 80 Microsoft Points ($1) on Xbox Live or $0.99 on the PSN.
Spectacular! will air on Nickelodeon on February 16 and will be released on DVD on March 31. If you can wait a few weeks, the DVD will include a special redemption code to download the songs for free.
