News: Despite the collapse of Ensemble Studios, AoE to continue.

The fate of Age of Empires won't end with the fall of Ensemble Studios, says Microsoft corporate VP of interactive entertainment Shane Kim on Edge-Online.
УMicrosoft continues to own Age of Empires.Ф Kim explains, УIt is not losing Age of Empires itself. We're still super excited for the potential for the franchise. The Windows gaming world continues to evolve, and we believe in the future of that property.Ф
Yesterday, it was reported that Ensemble Studios, the AoE franchise creator and developer since 1997, will close it doors early next year when Halo Wars is released. However, Microsoft, which has always published the series and bought Ensemble Studios in 2001, will ensure the Empire lives on for all PC and RTS fans alike.
