News: Boll also reaffirms his commitment to quit if there are 799,141 more signatures.
German video game movie director Uwe Boll appeared on late night comedy show Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld this morning and commented on the online petition asking him to stop making feature films.
Boll reaffirmed his commitment to quit filmmaking if the amount of signatures reaches one million. It's currently at 200,859. He also took another shot at Michael Bay, accusing the financially successful director of signing the petition multiple times.
Greg Gutfeld: Now, there's an online petition calling for you to stop making movies. It has about 193,000 signatures. And you said that if it hits a million you're going to quit the business. Are you serious?
Uwe Boll: Absolutely, but it'll never make it to a million. And I know there are people like Michael Bay, for example. He's like online the whole time under different signatures and he's posting and posting to stop me.
When Gutfeld asked Boll what he meant about being Уway better than all that social critic George Clooney bullshit that you get every fucking weekend,Ф Boll said that he was just emotional and flipped out when he made that statement. He complimented Clooney at first, saying that he personally liked him as an actor, but proceeded to slam the Academy Award winner. УBut look, if you have a movie like Letherheads, is that really necessary? The thing is like every weekend we get like movies from the studios that nobody wants to see, but they put so much money in the advertising that some people pop up to see it. But then you have a masterpiece like Postal and it should get like the attention it deserves.Ф
Just to make clear, Letherheads is an unnecessary movie, but Postal, which Boll said in the same interview features an Auschwitz theme park and Vern Troyer getting rapped by monkeys, is a masterpiece.
Asked if Postal is going to do better than it's real competition on May 23, the Indiana Jones sequel, Boll confidently said, УYeah, look, Harrison Ford is likeЕreally old. I think he's as old as my grandfather and my grandfather's dead. So I think we've got a shot there.Ф
