News: Destroy All Humans! Big Willy Unleashed for PS2 canceled as well.

Because of a disappointing 2007, THQ has announced the cancellation of Frontlines: Fuel of War for the PS3 and Destroy All Humans! Big Willy Unleashed for the PS2.

THQ also revealed they have no plans to continue the Juiced and Stuntman franchises. Both franchises received new entries in 2007, Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights for the PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, DS and Xbox 360 and Stuntman: Ignition for the PS2, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Finally, THQ announced that two unannounced titles for the Xbox 360 and PS3 are running overbudget and (along with the Frontlines and Destroy All Humans! cancellations) will cost the company $27 million dollars. Both games were scheduled to come out in 2009 and Concrete Studios, which was developing one of the titles, has been dissolved. THQ has said that Concrete employees will likely be reassigned to other THQ studios. The unannounced game Concrete was working on was likely canceled along with the company.

УIn October, we announced certain product quality initiatives, including personnel and structural changes in product development and a more rigorous internal and external product evaluation and feedback process,Ф said Brian Farrell, president and CEO of THQ. УConsistent with these initiatives, we have taken actions to strengthen our pipeline and position ourselves to compete aggressively with compelling, high quality games."

We'll have more on THQ's upcoming releases soon.
