News: The developer's blog seems to say yes.

David Jaffe's blog always has something interesting on the front page and today is no different. Take this with a huge grain of salt, but the God of War developer made the following comment on his blog in reference to the next Indiana Jones movie, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (bolding added):

Love the title! Love that it's less than a year away! Love that my-....err, can't spill those beans, just yet! But one day! man I'm dying to tell somebody! Ah well...but nope! Lipz iz sealed! :)

So is Jaffe working on an Indiana Jones-related game? Your guess is as good as mine but he is certainly dropping a pretty big hint there. And the last time he dropped a big hint like that was when he posted a picture of his new Utah-based digs and then waited a month before making the "official" announcement.

LucasArts currently has two Indiana Jones-related games in development: Indaiana Jones 2008 (which is being developed in-house) and Lego Indiana Jones (which is being handled by Travellers Tales). A game based on Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has yet to be announced and even Lego Indiana Jones will only cover the first three movies. With Jaffe's love of "little games," could he be working on a Kingdom of the Crystal Skull expansion for Lego Indiana Jones? I don't know and I'm just speculating here.

Of course, all of this could just be Jaffe getting all overexcited over the fact that Shia LaBeouf
announced the title for the movie last night at the Video Music Awards. Because after all, Jaffe is prone to overexcitement.

Whatever the case may be, we'll be on top of it because we love David Jaffe and we love Indiana Jones.
