News: The sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare will arrive later this year and continue the story of Task Force 141.

”Call

The next entry in the Call of Duty franchise has been rumored for a while but Activision and Infinity Ward confirmed it earlier today. Later this year we will see Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, the follow-up to 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The Call of Duty Twitter account teased that “the new era of Call of Duty is coming” and then also released a small teaser to whet your appetite for what is to come.

Not a whole lot is known about this new iteration in the franchise, but it should pick up right where the 2019 title left off. You can briefly see the Task Force 141 logo in the teaser and one has to imagine that the characters we saw in 2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will also make an appearance in this 2022 version.

Take a look at the teaser below and then tell us what you think. As more information is released, we’ll be sure to put it here on Gaming Target.
