News: New details have been revealed about the multiplayer portion of Call of Duty: Vanguard, including some new modes.

”Call

Activision has just had the worldwide reveal for multiplayer in Call of Duty: Vanguard. On day one Vanguard will feature 20 different multiplayer maps, including 16 core maps. You will be able to experience the signature Call of Duty action and some new ways to play with combat pacing and reactive environments featuring Tactical Destruction. With combat pacing, you will be able to select the intensity of the games. The player count will be determined by the map size to try and achieve the intensity described in the Combat Pacing System (CPS).

  • Tactical - Classic 6v6 experience

  • Assault - Balanced combat pacing that gives you enough room to breathe and a lot of targets to kill. In the multiplayer beta, player counts will vary between 20-48 players.

  • Blitz - High action lobbies where the intensity is cracked up.

  • In addition to classic game modes such as Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination, and others, there will be a new Patrol mode as well. This new mode is objective-based featuring a scoring zone in constant motion. There will also be the new Champion Hill mode which features a series of tournament style head-to-head matches, where players can play solo (1v1), duos (2v2) or trios (3v3) to battle it out in an arena consisting of four maps to be the last squad standing.

Gunsmith will not feature unrestricted attachments allowing up to 10 on certain weapons, which will allow for thousands of possibilities for every scenario. The new Clan system will feature bespoke progression, emblems, and even Battle Pass-related rewards unlocked for your entire group. For the PC gamers out there, Call of Duty: Vanguard will have an uncapped framerate, a host of customizable settings and keybinds, and ultrawide and multimonitor support.

The livestream also gave details for the Multiplayer Open Beta, set to kick off early for those who pre-ordered Vanguard on September 10-13 for PlayStation owners and September 16-17 for Xbox Series X/S, PC and PlayStation owners.

Check out the multiplayer reveal trailer below and tell us what you think. Will be participating in the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta this month? Will you be buying Call of Duty: Vanguard when it is released in November?
