Get Six Free Months of Apple TV+ With a PlayStation 5

News: If you (or someone you know) has a PS5, be sure to tell them to sign up for six free months of Apple TV+.

Good news for PlayStation 5 owners as Sony has teamed up with Apple for a pretty cool promotion with Apple TV+. If you have been lucky enough to acquire a PlayStation 5 you can now sign up for six free months of Apple TV+. This should work on both new and existing accounts as well so if you already have an account and you do this successfully, you should receive the same free six months that a new customer will get.

Unfortunately for those that haven’t been able to find a PlayStation 5 yet, this does indeed need to be done on the console. For starters, you need to download the Apple TV+ onto your PlayStation 5 console. Once you do that you then need to launch it and then follow the on-screen instructions. Once you get to the sign in part you need to either sign in with your existing account or create a new one. Keep in mind that you don’t need to do this with the same email address that is tied to your PlayStation account. For example, I use my professional email address with my PlayStation account, however, I use my personal email for Apple TV+. So when I was signing up for this offer, I entered the email associated with my Apple ID and I was good to go.

If you have successfully done what I have outlined above, you should receive your free six months. A word of warning though as PSN was having problems earlier today and for a lot of people that free six months wasn’t immediately showing up. If that happens to you, you might have to wait a little while to see it but it should eventually show up. If not you can always try again as this offer is going to be good until July 22, 2022. It should also be noted that you don’t have to watch Apple TV+ on your PS5. While the console is required to redeem this promotion, you can watch your free six months on any device you want that supports Apple TV+.
