News: If you want to get one of the limited edition Steelbooks, you’ll need to get it at GameStop.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be released in a little over a week. Fans are eagerly awaiting this release so that they can play the next chapter in the story featuring Yuffie. The brand new content is actually called FF7R Episode Intermission, where you will play as Yuffie as she infiltrates Midgar and conspires with Avalanche HQ to steal the ultimate materia from Shinra.

Yuffie Kisaragi is a member of Wutai’s elite corps of ninja operatives. Yuffie sees herself as a ravishing beauty and a world-class Materia hunter. She has an oversized throwing star as her main weapon, along with some incredible agility. Her mission is to reclaim her homeland’s former glory and is infiltrating Midgar to accomplish that task.

Square Enix revealed today that if you pre-order at Gamestop/EB Games, you have a chance at getting a really nice looking Steelbook for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. This is a limited edition Steelbook so if you have any interest in it, you’ll want to pre-order right away. There is one caveat though and that is you need to pre-order the physical edition of the game. If you have a PlayStation that doesn’t have a disc drive, you won’t be eligible for this pre-order offer. If you pre-order the game online, the Steelbook will be shipped with your game. If you pre-order in the store, the Steelbook will be available when you pick up Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be released exclusively on the PlayStation 5 beginning on June 10th for $69.99. This version comes with the Intermission Yuffie episode bundled with it. If you purchased Final Fantasy VII Remake on PlayStation 4, you can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free, however, you will need to buy the Intermission Yuffie episode. Please keep in mind that you will need to use the format you used on PlayStation 4 if you are going this route. For example, if you bought Final Fantasy VII Remake on disc for PS4, you can not upgrade to the digital version on PS5. You will still be able to upgrade for free, you will just need the PS4 disc in your console when you want to play the game. Additionally, if you received Final Fantasy VII Remake for free via PlayStation Plus, you are not eligible for the free upgrade. If you are someone that is going to buy the Yuffie content separately, it should cost approximately $20.

If you are eligible, will you do the free upgrade and buy the Yuffie content separately? Will you pre-order the complete package from GameStop for the Steelbook? Tell us what you think below.
