News: We have a small glimpse of what Aloy’s adventure is going to look like on the PlayStation 5 once the title is released.

”Horizon

Sony just had another State of Play and this time it was focused solely on Horizon Forbidden West. Horizon Forbidden West is set 1,000 years into Earth’s future. You will get to explore distant lands with landmarks you will undoubtedly recognize, have to fight bigger and badder enemies, and meet new tribes that inhabit the land. The world is still a very dangerous point and Aloy needs to always pay attention to her surroundings.

There are a lot of threats in Horizon Forbidden West. It is your job to balance these threats and restore order. Horizon Zero Dawn on PlayStation 4 had breathtaking beauty both in its environment and the characters and it looks like Horizon Forbidden West has upped the ante even more. In the gameplay video (see below) you can see how amazing Aloy looks, how vibrant the environment is, and some of the moves she has learned for combat. Simply based on what we have seen so far it looks like it will surpass Horizon Zero Dawn in every way. Of course, we’ll have to wait to see the finished product before any definitive statement can be made, but the early content we have seen is extremely promising.

The big disappointment from Sony’s State of Play today is that there was no release date revealed for Horizon Forbidden West. Perhaps they plan on doing this at E3 but it was a bit disappointing nonetheless. I’m assuming Horizon Forbidden West is supposed to be Sony’s big Holiday 2021 title with God of War potentially coming out in 2022. I only mention God of War here because it was originally revealed to be a 2021 title but I don’t really see any way that is going to happen unless they want to release Horizon Forbidden West and God of War: Ragnarok at almost the same time.

Take a look at the gameplay video below and tell us what you think. Are you excited for Aloy’s next adventure? Will you pick it up on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5? Tell us what you think in the comment section below.
