News: Explore the creepy castle for a limited time this weekend in preparation for the game’s full launch next month.

If you are a Resident Evil fan you have another chance this weekend to get a sneak peek at the upcoming Resident Evil VIII. It appears this small demo will be different than the one that was available last weekend though. This weekend’s demo will have you entering the halls of Castle Dimitrescu. You will get to see some of the inner workings of the castle, which is the stronghold for Alcina Dimitrescu and her bloodthirsty daughters. If you didn’t download the demo last weekend it is available pre-download right now so that you can play it once it becomes available. If I am understanding things correctly, you only have to download that one demo and then everything will become available to play during the designated times.

Stepping into the castle you will notice the contrast between it and the village. There is also an underground prison beneath the castle that you might find yourselves in where you will have to quietly make your pay past some cold cellar bars which will contrast with the warmth you find above.

The team over at Capcom has said that players will find themselves in a wider variety of environments in Resident Evil VIII compared to Resident Evil VII. You will also have access to a wider variety of weapons as you try to track down Rose. There will be different strategies that you need to utilize with the varied environments and it is going to be up to you to decide what the best course of action is to take.

If you are playing the PlayStation 5 version, you will also have some 3D audio that will give you an extra layer of immersion while you explore the castle. The brief period of time that you can experience this demo begins on April 24th at 5:00 pm Pacific and April 25th at 6:00 pm BST.

Resident Evil VIII is currently slated to be released on May 7, 2021, on Xbox, PlayStation, Google Stadia, and PC platforms. Check out the new trailer below and tell us what you think. Will you be playing the demo this weekend or will you wait until you can play the full game in a couple weeks?
