Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart now has a release date on PS5. You will be able to play it in late Spring, around the time E3 would normally be taking place. Ratchet & CLank: Rift Apart has been built from the ground up, exclusively for the PlayStation 5. In this new adventure, you’ll go dimension-hopping with Ratchet and Clank as you attempt to stop a robotic emperor that is trying to conquer cross-dimensional worlds. This new Ratchet & Clank game will be taking full advantage of the PS5’s SSD drive, allowing you to jump in between worlds at a moment’s notice. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will also feature a cast of familiar faces, alongside a mysterious new playable female Lombax resistance fighter.

Some of the key features for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart include the following:

  • Stunning Visuals - You will get to choose your experience with an optional Performance Mode that is targeting 60fps. Enhanced lighting and ray tracing will display in-game worlds in crisp, dynamic 4K and HDR.

  • Exotic Worlds - Explore never before seen planets and alternate dimension versions of old favorites.

  • Dimensional Rifts - You will experience the intergalactic shuffle of dimensional rifts as they combine new worlds and gameplay. Warp across battlefields to gain a combat advantage and repair planetary rifts with dimension-spanning puzzles.

  • Outrageous Weaponry - You will have to blast your way home with an arsenal of outrageous weaponry including new weapons such as the Enforcer, Burst Pistol, Topiary Sprinkler and the Shatterbomb.

  • DualSense Controller - Sense the impact of in-game explosions through the haptic feedback. Take full control and feel the tension of advanced weapon mechanics.

  • In addition to the release date, Sony also revealed there will be different editions. These include a Digital Standard Edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition. There are also pre-order bonuses that you can get depending on the edition you select. The standard edition will come with Carbonox Armor and a Pixelizer Weapon. The Carbonox Armor is from Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando from back in 2003 and the Pixelizer Weapon is from the 2016 version of Ratchet and Clank.

In the Digital Deluxe Edition, you will also receive the Carbonox Armore and Pixelizer Weapon. Additionally, you will also receive the following:

  • Five Armor Sets

  • Photo Mode Sticker Pack

  • 20 Raritanium

  • Digital Soundtrack

  • Digital Art Book

  • There will also of course by the physical version that you can pick up at your favorite game store. If you choose to go that route, the Launch Edition will include unlocks to the Carbonox Armor and Pixelizer Weapon packed in on a voucher inside the box, while supplies last. The standard edition of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will be available on June 11th for $69.99. If you want the Digital Deluxe Edition that will also be available on June 11th for $79.99.
