SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated Gets A Horde Mode

News: A new multiplayer mode will be available in this remake along with some other content that didn’t make it into the original version.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated is set to be released soon. With that being the case we have a new piece of information that should whet your appetite for when you can pick it up. This remake is apparently going to have a horde mode for up to two players, both online and couch co-op on the same screen. This multiplayer mode consists of 26 islands and 7 playable characters, all with unique attacks.

If you haven’t been following the development of this remaster, the premise is below:

”Are you ready, kids? The cult classic is back, faithfully remade in spongetastic splendor! Play as SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy and show the evil Plankton that crime pays even less than Mr. Krabs. Want to save Bikini Bottom from lots of rampant robots with your mighty bubbles? Of course you do! Want to underpants bungee jump? Why wouldn't you! Want to join forces in a brand new multiplayer mode? The battle is on!”
