News: In addition to canceling their PAX East appearance, PUBG Corporation has also revealed they won’t be at GDC in San Francisco.

The hits keep coming as two more companies have pulled out of PAX East this weekend along with one of them also canceling their GDC appearance as well. Earlier this morning we wrote about how EA is deciding to skip GDC this year. Well, you can now add PUBG Corporation to that list as well. As for this weekend in Boston, both PUBG Corporation and CD Projekt Red have canceled their PAX East appearances.

It should be noted that CD Projekt Red didn’t have really big plans at the show, they weren’t really going to be doing anything with Cyberpunk 2077, they were just going to have some staff attending. I’m not sure what they were originally planning on doing but according to Stephanie Bayer on Twitter, the team’s health is more important and so they are canceling their appearance. CD Projekt Red is still currently slated to be at GDC next month in San Francisco but as we have seen, that can always change. The Tweets in question from Stephanie said the following:

” I just found out my team is canceling our PAX East trip so I will NOT be at PAX East as previously planned. I should still be at GDC though!”

” We weren’t bringing Cyberpunk there - it was more CDPR staff were attending but now we’re all canceling. Trying to keep the team healthy.”

As far as PUBG Corporation is concerned, they initially had plans for a “happy hour event” at a local bar in Boston on Friday evening. That event has now been postponed. They did promise though that they will still hold this event, it will just be at a later time when the Coronavirus is under control. They issued the following quote to Gamespot:

"We will be rescheduling this plan for an upcoming event, once the coronavirus is under control and travel returns to normal”.

It seems like the list of companies deciding not to attend PAX East or GDC (or both!) is growing every few hours. If you do still plan on attending PAX East in Boston this weekend there will be information on site and improved hygiene and sanitation efforts.

We will keep you updated on if any other companies choose to either cancel their appearance altogether or alter their initial plans.
