News: If you have been curious about Bioware’s new game you can test it out a portion of it this weekend.

”Anthem”

If you didn’t get a chance to play Anthem last weekend (or you did and you want to play more) the demo/beta/stress test is now available for everyone to play throughout the weekend. According to EA you will have until Sunday evening at 8pm Pacific time to test the game out and see if it is something you might want to pick up when it launches later this month.

Similar to last week’s VIP demo, players will get the chance to explore the world of Anthem as a Freelancer in multiple different Javelin exosuits, including the Storm, Interceptor, Colossus, and Ranger. Players who participated in last week’s VIP demo will also get the unique chance to try out all four Javelin exosuits in this weekend’s open demo.

Please note that EA will be opening up the servers in a rolling capacity so if you are having problems signing on then just try again later and you should be good to go. It should also be noted that if you played during the first weekend, your progress should carry over and you should be able to pick up where you left off in terms of your progression. That probably won’t happen going from this beta to the final retail build though.

Please keep in mind that what you are playing this weekend is not the final retail build that will be released later this month. This is still unfinished code and, as such, there will probably be problems. With that said, a lot of the potential bugs from this beta have already been fixed such as:

  • Further performance improvements

  • Additional stability fixes

  • Fixes to inscriptions showing up incorrectly

  • Fixes to inscriptions from other Javelins being chosen

  • Fixes to disappearing customization settings

  • Fixes to XP gain behavior

  • Audio improvements

  • Improvements to PC controls, including flight and aiming

  • A Social Hub: The Launch Bay

  • Do you plan on testing out Anthem this weekend? Did you play it last weekend? Tell us what you think in the comments below.
