Insomnia: The Ark is now available on Steam from Russian developer Studio Mono. Insomnia: The Ark was a success story on Kickstarter approximately four years ago and they have finally been able to deliver on that promise.
In Insomnia: The Ark, players explore a colossal space metropolis brimming with the secrets of a long-gone civilization – with a 60+ hour story that can be completed alongside four NPC companions, with 12 different endings determined by players' choices throughout the game.
Explore Object 6 – a colossal space station set on a dismal 400-year journey in search of a new home. Your character wakes from cryogenic sleep – stricken with a rare psychological disease and unknowingly holding humanity’s last hope in his bare hands.
HeroCraft and Studio Mono ran a closed beta phase over the summer and have been polishing the game for full release ever since. But the developers don't intend to stop here, with future updates, content, and features planned via free DLC in the months ahead.
Anatoly Nekrasov, CEO and Lead Developer of Studio Mono, said: "It's our first project, our beloved child. We've been developing INSOMNIA for nine years, and finally release date is upon us! Since the Kickstarter in 2014, we've changed concepts, plot, and mechanics for the better - while maintaining our original vision for a unique visual style and deep dystopian atmosphere."
Vitaly Makarov, CIO at Studio Mono, added: "After almost nine years of development, we'd love to keep adding content, but we have to let it go eventually! We're delighted that our players can finally get their hands on INSOMNIA, and that they'll enjoy and appreciate the work of a small indie team releasing their dream game."
