News: If you have been wanting an Xbox One but haven’t been able to afford the upfront cost, you will want to take a look at this new program.

”Xbox

Microsoft has just revealed “Xbox All Access,” a service where you can get an Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass all in one package. There is no upfront cost for this, simply a monthly bill. Essentially this is like your cell phone where you don’t have to buy the device itself, you just slowly pay it off over a period of time.

Microsoft claims that Xbox All Access is only going to be available for a limited time, however, they didn’t specify when it might end. They did say this program would continue “while supplies last” and the catch is that this deal is only good in Microsoft Stores. So, for example, you can’t go into Best Buy or Gamestop and try to get this deal.

The way this is going to work is that you will have to pay a monthly fee for 24 months, just like your cell phone bill. How much you will pay will depend on whether you get an Xbox One S or an Xbox One X. In addition to the console itself, this also comes with Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold. For those who don’t know Xbox Game Pass is Microsoft’s service that offers more than 100 games that you can download and play at any time, as long as you are a member. It is basically like Netflix for games. Xbox Game Pass also offers day one access to first party title. When Forza Horizon 4 is released on October 2 you won’t have to buy it as a member of Xbox Game Pass, you can simply download it and play it as much as you want. Xbox Live Gold is their online membership program that is required to do certain things, such as playing a game online with friends.

For those who want a quick list of the features for this program:

  • No upfront cost

  • One low monthly price

  • 0% APR for 24 months

  • 24 months of Xbox Game Pass

  • 24 months of Xbox Live Gold

  • Limited-time offer for qualified customers

  • It should be pointed out that this isn’t a leasing or renting program. You will own the console after 24 months. As I mentioned up above, the amount you will pay each month will depend on the console you get.

  • Xbox One S - $21.99 per month with 0% APR for 24 months.

  • Xbox One X - $34.99 per month with 0% APR for 24 months.

  • Does this interest you? If you have been waiting to pick up an Xbox One, will this cause you to go out and get one? Tell us what you think below.
