News: The next chapter in the Red Dead series will take a little longer to get here than expected but should result in a better overall game.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is now going to be released in Spring 2018 according to Rockstar. It was originally slated to be released Holiday 2017 but not specific date was ever given. This makes sense though as Rockstar tends to release their big titles in the Spring and the first Red Dead Redemption was a spring release as well having been released on May 8, 2010. I would assume this will probably also be a May release but that is purely speculation on my part.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is an outlaw epic set across the vast and unforgiving American heartland that will be the first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure they can deliver the best product for gamers eagerly anticipating this game. Hearing about a game being delayed is never good but it frequently results in a better overall in the long run and Rockstar seems to always deliver on that front.

Rockstar had this to say:

”We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer. In the meantime, please enjoy this selection of new screenshots from the world of Red Dead Redemption 2.”

Take a look at the pictures below that were just released to coincide this announcement and tell us what you think. Will you be picking up Red Dead Redemption 2 in Spring 2018?
