We Happy Few Available on Xbox One Tomorrow Via Early Access

News: If you want an early look at Compulsion’s latest game you can download it on Xbox One beginning tomorrow.

We Happy Few is going to be available on Xbox One via early access beginning tomorrow, July 26. We Happy Few got people talking last month at E3 and is set in a 1960s English society that is obsessed with drugs, denial and happiness. The people in charge are trying to keep the population artificially happy by using drugs and ignoring what is going on in the world. When someone decides they no longer want to do this then they stop taking their medication and have to deal with the repercussions that come with that.

Some of the main features for We Happy Few include:

A procedurally generated world: Each time you die or beat the game, your next adventure through Wellington Wells will be different. Forget about relying on the city's layout to escape.

A sophisticated suspicion system: The inhabitants of Wellington Wells expect you to behave in very specific ways—if they suspect you're not taking your Joy, they'll quickly identify you as a Downer.

Frenzied combat: Downers aren't very popular in Wellington Wells. In fact, Wellies tend to get a bit violent whenever one walks by.

Twisted survival mechanics: In this urban setting, avoiding the Wellies' fury often means hiding in plain sight.

An elaborate crafting system: Salvage supplies and Joy-tainted food to stay alive, but be careful not to overdose!
