E3 2016: Dishonored 2 Release Date, Collector’s Edition and Gameplay Trailer Revealed

News: Bethesda held their E3 press conference last night and highlighted some of the things you can expect from Dishonored 2 when it launches in November.

One of the big games that was highlighted at Bethesda’s E3 press conference was Dishonored 2. Dishonored 2 is set 15 years after the Lord Regent has been vanquished and the dreaded Rat Plague has passed into history. An otherworldly usurper has seized Empress Emily Kaldwin’s throne, leaving the fate of the Isles hanging in the balance. As Emily or Corvo, travel beyond the legendary streets of Dunwall to Karnaca, the once-dazzling coastal city that holds the keys to restoring Emily to power. Armed with the Mark of the Outsider and powerful new abilities, track down your enemies and take back what’s rightfully yours.

You will reprise your role as a supernatural assassin in Dishonored 2. Play your way in a world where mysticism and industry collide. Will you choose to play as Empress Emily Kaldwin or the royal protector, Corvo Attano? Will you make your way through the game unseen, make full use of its brutal combat system, or use a blend of both? How will you combine your character’s unique set of powers, weapons and gadgets to eliminate your enemies? The story responds to your choices, leading to intriguing outcomes, as you play through each of the game’s hand-crafted missions.

In Dishonored 2 you will have the choice to play as either Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano and both will be fully voiced and will bring their own perspectives and emotional responses to the world and story. You can use each character’s set of powers, gadgets and uniquely-tuned weapons in creative ways as you explore the world – whether you fight your way through the city streets or sneak across the rooftops - and which enemies you decide to eliminate or spare. From the grimy, rat-infested streets of Dunwall to the lush, exotic coasts of a decaying Karnaca you will be immersed in style locales. The world is a character in its own right, rich with story, architecture and eclectic characters.

In addition to showing off more gameplay, Bethesda also showed off the Dishonored 2 collector’s edition. The collector’s edition is $99.99 and available at most retail stores. If you are an Amazon Prime member or a Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked member you can pre-order it for $79.99. In addition to the game itself the Dishonored 2 collector’s edition comes with the following:

Corvo Attano’s Mask Replica and Stand - This recreation of Corvo’s in-game mask stands at 13.5” (H) x 6” (W) x 5.5” (D).

Emily Kaldwin’s Ring Replica and Display Box - This wearable replica of Emily’s ring is constructed of zinc alloy and includes a premium, embossed black ring box with purple velvet inner lining.

Collectible ‘Legacy’ Metal Case - Exclusive to the Dishonored 2 Collector’s Edition, the limited-edition metal case is decorated with the portraits of Empress Emily Kaldwin and Royal Protector Corvo Attano.
