News: Quantic Dream has revealed that their PlayStation 3 titles will be hitting the PS4 and Beyond: Two Souls will be getting a new mode.

”Beyond

Quantic Dream has confirmed that Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls is headed to the PlayStation 4. Both games will be available as individual digital releases, with a two-game bundle also available both digitally and physically in Europe. Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls is also coming to North America according to Quantic Dreams Twitter but exact details including whether it will be digital, physical or both have not been released yet. These games have been rumored to be arriving on the PS4 for a while now and it is great that we finally have official confirmation from Quantic Dream.

For those who might not be familiar with Heavy Rain, the premise is below:

”Heavy Rain is a dark, immersive and emotionally-engaging experience; one that expands upon the innovative ideas of 2005’s acclaimed Fahrenheit to create a noir-thriller where decisions are charged with importance and actions can have drastic and unforseen consequences. Breaking with traditional game conventions where necessary, the gameplay will be based around story, emotional involvement and the player’s decisions and interactions, rather than high-scores, combat and competition. Intuitive gameplay and controls are also fundamental to the experience – ensuring that the game is mature but accessible, and avoiding alienating players with obscure stats and complex interfaces.

In Heavy Rain you don’t watch the story – you play it. The dynamic narrative unfolds through the players actions - not cut scenes - and every action has a consequence. The choices you make and the way you interact with other characters have repercussions throughout the storyline. With unprecedented responsibility over the fates of the game’s characters, players will find Heavy Rain an emotional experience unlike any other. It dares to tackle subject matter and themes rarely touched upon in video games, making it a genuinely mature game for a new world of adult gamers.”

For those who might not be familiar with Beyond: Two Souls, the premise is below:

”Live the remarkable life of Jodie Holmes, a young woman who possesses supernatural powers through a psychic link to an invisible entity. Experience the most striking moments of Jodie's life as your actions and decisions determine her fate. As she traverses the globe, Jodie will face incredible challenges against a backdrop of emotionally-charged events never before seen in a video game.”

The story of Beyond: Two Souls was told in a bit of a disjointed manner. You jumped around and played different parts of Jodie’s life with one portion being as a little girl being looked after by doctors and the next segment as an adult working for the government, for example. Quantic Dream has revealed that there will be a new mode on the PS4 version where you can experience the story in chronological order now, which is something fans had definitely been requesting.

Now that we have these games coming to PS4, can we get Indigo Prophecy to show up and just get a Quantic Dream Collection? Please?

Will you be picking up this collection? Take a look at the trailers below and tell us what you think.
