News: It appears that PT might be off of Sony’s servers entirely which won’t allow you to download the game, even if it is in your download history.

”PT"

It appears there is a new wrinkle in the whole Konami and Silent Hills saga. The playable teaser, called PT, that was available on PSN for PS4 users to tease the upcoming Silent Hills game is no longer available for download. We knew that Sony and Konami were removing it from PSN last week but what usually happens is that while it would be removed off of the store, people who had downloaded it previously would still be able to download again whenever they wanted from their history. Apparently this isn’t the case with PT.

If you currently have PT installed on your PS4 and you delete to free up space or whatever then that means that you won’t ever be able to re-download it unless something changes. Essentially, if you have it downloaded on to your console right now don’t ever delete it unless you are 100% sure you will never want to play it again.

Now that PT is no longer available to anyone, auctions have sprung up on eBay selling PS4 consoles with PT installed for outrageous prices. It is similar to what happened with Flappy Bird when it was yanked off of the iOS store and iPhones and other devices that had it installed were selling for ridiculous money.

This whole is strange for a number of different reasons but it is sure to leave some gamers upset as there was a notice from Sony that you would indeed be able to download PT again at a later time if you decided to do so. Apparently that notice wasn’t accurate unless this is just a technical error that will soon get fixed. It would be one heck of a coincidence though considering how bad things are at Konami right now and the recent cancellation of Silent Hills.

What do you think? Is this a simple technical error or is PT gone for good? Do you have it installed on your PS4? Tell us your theories below.
