Xbox One SmartGlass app is available for download on iOS, Android and Windows devices

Xbox One News: Gamers who are using the SmartGlass app for Xbox 360 will need to download this new Xbox One app to connect to their new console.

Xbox One has been on the market for a few days now and one of the many features touted leading up to the console release was SmartGlass. Many of us downloaded the SmartGlass app for the Xbox 360, however, it turns out the Xbox One has its own separate app. There have been reports about people having difficulty getting their SmartGlass app to connect to the Xbox One. Well, that is because you are using the Xbox 360 app to try to connect to the Xbox One. It took me a little bit to figure this out as well as Microsoft wasn’t exactly upfront about needing to download a new app. It is a free download but it is required if you want to try and take advantage of everything SmartGlass has to offer.

With the Xbox One SmartGlass app, you have the perfect companion app whether you are at home or on the go. This app will essentially allow you to connect and control your Xbox One.
