Xbox One News: Microsoft reveals some big day one statistics as it relates to how many Xbox One consoles have been sold and what games people are playing.
Xbox One is the biggest launch in Xbox history according to Microsoft. Xbox One has launched in 13 markets as of today and more than one million consoles have been sold in those markets in less than 24 hours , surpassing day one Xbox 360 sales and setting a new record for Microsoft.
Xbox One is now sold out at the vast majority of retailers. You might be lucky and find one here or there but, for the most part, they are gone. Microsoft has stated that they are working hard to try and replenish stock as soon as possible. With Black Friday coming up next week one has to think that stores will have replenished stock then, although you might have to fight your way through the crowd to get it.
Microsoft also released some day one statistics include:
- Over 60 million zombies have been killed in Dead Rising 3
- Over 3.6 million miles driven in Forza Motorsport 5
- Over 7.1 million combos in Killer Instinct
- Over 8.5 million enemies defeated in Ryse: Son of Rome
- Over 43 million Fit Points earned in Xbox Fitness
“We are humbled and grateful for the excitement of Xbox fans around the world,” said Yusuf Mehdi, Corporate Vice President of Marketing and Strategy, Xbox. “Seeing thousands of excited fans line up to get their Xbox One and their love for gaming was truly a special moment for everyone on the Xbox team. We are working hard to create more Xbox One consoles and look forward to fulfilling holiday gift wishes this season.”
