Call of Duty Ghosts News: Activision has released the Call of Duty Ghosts app which will run on iOS devices as well as some Android and Windows Phone machines.

Call of Duty Ghosts

Call of Duty Ghosts launched last week on Xbox 360 and PS3 and is getting set for it’s next gen debut. To coincide with these releases Activision has released a Call of Duty app. The new Call of Duty app adds a new dimension to Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer by allowing fans to stay connected to the game on the go, and offers new features like Second Screen functionality and the all-new Call of Duty Clan Wars metagame, to create an even greater experience.

Developed by Beachhead in collaboration with Infinity Ward to work hand-in-hand with Ghosts, the Call of Duty app offers a lot of functionality. You can use the game’s Create-a-Soldier feature to customize your squad member’s appearance from head to toe and immediately push it into the game, track your multiplayer stats, use the Rally Up and Clan Chat features to communicate with online friends and Clan Members, and even edit your Clan’s emblem and motto with the app’s Emblem Editor. Additionally, you’ll see more of the app’s features become available over the next few weeks. First, the Call of Duty app is the key to participating in Call of Duty Clan Wars – the app’s game experience that ties directly to Ghosts’ multiplayer, with the first Clan War set to start on November 25. Then, in December, the app’s Second Screen functionality will be turned on, so you’ll soon be able to push and swap loadouts in the game immediately, as well as view and share after-action reports with friends via Facebook and Twitter.

The Call of Duty app does support iPhones and iPads, some Android phones and some Windows phones and tablets. It needs to be pointed out right now that the Call of Duty app is not available on Android tablets, just phones for the time being. The Call of Duty App is available for free and you can use it for the Wii U, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Xbox One and PC versions. Will you be trying it out?
