News: Get a sneak peek into the story of Edward Kenway that you will experience in Assassin’s Creed 4.

Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is coming out soon for current gen consoles and will be available next month for the Xbox One and PS4. To help celebrate the upcoming release, Ubisoft has just released a new trailer showcasing part of Edward Kenway’s story. In Assassin’s Creed 4, Edward Kenway’s fight for glory has earned him the respect of legends like Blackbeard, but also drawn him into the ancient war between Assassins and Templars, a war that may destroy everything the pirates have built.

As Edward Kenway you will command your ship, the Jackdaw, and strike fear in all who see her. Plunder and pillage to upgrade the Jackdaw with ammunition and equipment needed to fight off enemy ships. The ship’s improvements are critical to Edward’s progression through the game. Attack and seamlessly board massive galleons and recruit sailors to join your crew as you try and stop the Templars. You will stand amongst legendary names such as Blackbeard, Calico Jack and Benjamin Hornigold, as you establish a lawless Republic in the Bahamas and relive the truly explosive events that defined the golden age of piracy.

Take a look at the story trailer below and tell us what you think. Will you be purchasing Assassin’s Creed 4? If so, will you be getting it for current or next gen?
