News: And Ken Levine loves Culdcept!

To celebrate the PlayStation 2's tenth birthday, Sony asked a bunch of game developers to talk about their three favorite games for the system. Responses came back from some of the biggest names in the development community and the overall trend is clear: developers really love the Grand Theft Auto series, Ico and Katamari Damacy.

While the three games have almost nothing in common (aside from the fact they were all released on the PS2), they brought out strong feelings in the developers. Like this quote from Eat Sleep Play's David Jaffe on his love for Ico:

"Moody, emotional, and just an overall fantastic adventure. People go on and on about the artistry of this game but many forget what a great GAME-Y GAME it was: great puzzles, fun exploration, and a great, hook-y Сprotect the girl' core mechanic make this one of my top 10 games of all time."

Other games that kept coming up over and over again were God of War and Devil May Cry. All told, more than 40 games were included in the developer's top threes. But the quote of the day goes to Irrational's Ken Levine and his Culdcept pick for which he said:

"A love child of Magic the Gathering and Monopoly. Don't believe me? The joke's on you, pal, because it's TRUE!"

Ken Levine is clearly a man of wealth and taste.
