Sony details Heroes on the Move @ Gaming Target

News: More on the Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter and Sly Cooper crossover.

Briefly touched on during their E3 presentation this year, Sony has used the Gamescom expo to reveal a little bit more about their mega Move-exclusive crossover game Heroes on the Move. Coming to the PlayStation 3 next Spring, the game will include characters from Sony's three platforming franchises: Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank and Sly Cooper.

Heroes on the Move is being developed by Nihilistic Software and brings together six of Sony's most beloved characters: Jak, Daxter, Ratchet, Clank, Sly Cooper and Bentley. One to two players will be able to control them in this party game as they "smash, hurl, and shoot their way through challenges."

Like any great crossover, an alien menace has kidnapped our heroes and forced them to compete in a series of contests for his amusement:

A mysterious alien duo has swept through the galaxy, fiendishly snatching entire chunks from the worlds of Ratchet, Jak and Sly to create a mysterious new planet in the galaxy. After being abducted to this new world, Ratchet, Clank, Jak, Daxter, Sly Cooper and Bentley are invited by their gracious alien hosts to compete in friendly, yet challenging competition to test their extraordinary skillsЕ but as our heroes discover, all is not as it seems. Our fearless heroes soon find themselves joined together in the ultimate battle to protect the galaxy - and in a fight for their own survival.

This mysterious new planet has been created out of the worlds our heroes used to inhabit including Haven City (Jak & Daxter), Metropolis (Ratchet & Clank) and Paris (Sly Cooper). To attack these environments, each character will be equipped with "signature, fan-favorite weapons" along with "a new arsenal of super power weapons, uniquely customized to each character."
