After the release of the Mortal Kombat: Rebirth "pitch" trailer and this morning's announcement of Mortal Kombat for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, it's been quite the busy week the gory fighting franchise.

Now we have the new game's debut trailer. Check out the classic art style and be on the lookout for Johnny Cage, Kung Lao, Mileena, Nightwolf, Raiden, Reptile, Sektor, Shao Khan, Sub-Zero, The Pit and The Dead Pool:

Mortal Kombat is scheduled for a 2011 release. Hopefully we'll have more from next week's E3 Expo.
