News: After a decade of demand... gaming's greatest crossover continues!

Even though the embargo doesn't officially end until 11 AM (Eastern Time), the teaser trailer for Marvel vs Capcom 3 has escaped onto YouTube.

Featuring a flowing art style similar to the debut trailer of Street Fighter IV, the Marvel vs Capcom 3 teaser doesn't feature much in the way of gameplay, but six characters from the game's roster have been confirmed:

  • Wolverine battles Ryu
  • Iron Man fights Morrigan
  • The Hulk brawls with Chris Redfield

That last one doesn't seem altogether fair. But you can check it out for yourself in the trailer, which we've got right here:

We'll have more on Marvel vs Capcom 3 later today, including official confirmation of the very plausible rumors saying that the game will feature 2D gameplay when it comes to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 sometime this year.
