News: Harmonix spreads the DLC love among four bands this week.

The Wii Rock Band Store has been playing catchup with the PS3/Xbox 360 store for months now and it looks like Harmonix has finally brought the two DLC services in-line with each other. Only a handful of songs remain missing in action on the Wii store and licensing rights may prevent them from ever being released. But that hasn't stopped Harmonix from making this week's tracks available on the PS3, Wii and Xbox 360.

A track pack from the band Anvil leads this week's additions. Additional songs will be available to download from Dinosaur Jr., The Guess Who and Tenacious D. All of the tracks will be available to download for the Wii and Xbox 360 today, while PS3 owners will get a chance to download them on Thursday, September 17.

The Anvil Track Pack 01 will contain the following three songs:

  • Anvil Ц "666"
  • Anvil Ц "Metal on Metal"
  • Anvil Ц "This is Thirteen"

The pack will be available for $5.49 (or 440 Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360) while individual songs can be downloaded for $1.99, 160 Microsoft Points or 200 Wii Points each.

Six individual songs will also be added to the store, and they will be available to dowbload for $1.99, 160 Microsoft Points or 200 Wii Points each. The six songs are:

  • Dinosaur Jr. Ц "Pick Me Up"
  • Dinosaur Jr. Ц "The Wagon"
  • The Guess Who Ц "Hand Me Down World"
  • The Guess Who Ц "No Time"
  • Tenacious D Ц "Rock Your Socks"
  • Tenacious D Ц "Tribute"

Finally, the PSP Rock Band Store for Rock Band Unplugged will receive two new tracks, "Bring Me To Life" from Evanesence and "Back From the Dead" from Spinal Tap. Each track will be able to be downloaded for $1.99 each when they're added to the store on Thursday, September 17.
