News: Watch Kratos be violent on the official site for his next game.

The official website for God of War III, the hands down biggest PlayStation 3 release of 2009, is now open courtesy of Sony.

The site is available at www.us.playstation.com/GodofWarIII and it currently features the game's E3 08 trailer and the new official trailer in a variety of sizes (including 720p and 1080p high definition). Aside from the trailers, the site has a batch of screenshots and the ability to pre-order the game.

A little more information can be had at the game's PlayStation.com profile page which reveals that the game's current Sony-sanctioned release date is actually "To Be Announced" and not 2009 like we all thought.

So it's possible (maybe even likely) that the most anticipated PS3 game of 2009 won't be released until 2010... at the earliest.
