News: The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, The Eagles and reggae rock are coming soon.

Activision has laid out the Guitar Hero: World Tour downloadable song schedule for December and it sounds pretty decent with a trio of free songs available right before Christmas. All of the Track Packs will cost 440 Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360 or $5.49 on the PlayStation 3. All individual songs will cost 160 Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360, $1.99 on the PS3 and 200 Wii Points on the Wii.

Here's what the company has in store:

On December 4, a Smashing Pumpkins Pack will be released that includes the songs "G.L.O.W.," "1979" and "Everlasting Gaze."

On December 11, a Nirvana Pack will be released featuring the tracks "You Know You're Right," "Negative Creep" and "Sliver."

On December 18, an Eagles Pack will be released that includes the songs "Frail Grasp on the Big Picture," "One of These Nights" and "Life in the Fast Lane."

Finally, on December 23 a Reggae Rock Pack that includes "Jimi" from Slightly Stoopid, "Your Face" from Pepper and "Sacrifice" from The Expendables. The pack will be offered for free on the PS3 and Xbox 360 while Wii owners will be able to download individual tracks (which will also be free).
