Harmonix has announced that over six million downloadable tracks have been purchased by Rock Band since the game launched in November. According to the company, more than 70 songs have been released since then.
The company also revealed that an update will be released this week for Rock Band that will open up the Rock Band Music Store. The store will let gamers "view, purchase, and sort all downloadable songs tracks by Artist, Song Title, Genre, Albums, Pack, and more! [They] can also view album art, listen to song previews, as well as check out detailed information about a song, such as difficulty for each instrument." All of this will be accessible from the Rock Band main menu.
The Rock Band Music Store has also alerted us that full album downloads are still "coming soon." How soon is soon though? Harmonix was a bit cagier on that point.
