News: More Puzzle Quest for PC, DS and XBLA.

Back in April, Infinite Interactive, the developers behind Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, announced their next project, the Puzzle Quest-like Galactrix. Today, D3 has jumped on board as the publisher and rechristened the game Puzzle Quest: Galactrix.

The sci-fi themed puzzle adventure will be released on the PC, DS and Xbox Live Arcade this fall. Infinite originally announced a PSP version as well, but it appears to be in limbo after this announcement. Although, considering the success of the previous Puzzle Quest, a PSP port is likely.

Puzzle Quest: Galactrix will bring gamers more of the addictive puzzling gameplay that made Challenge of the Warlords so fun, while also adding a new hexagonal board.

?D3's support of our inventive experiment to create compelling gameplay based on a combination of puzzles, strategy and role-playing reaped fantastic rewards for us and for game fans of multiple genres,? said Steve Fawkner, President and Lead Designer of Infinite Interactive. ?For Puzzle Quest: Galactrix, our development team will persist in that vein and introduce an innovative hexagonal puzzle board to the mix, along with a deeply immersive new science-fiction setting and storyline that gamers will find irresistible.?

We'll have more on Puzzle Quest: Galactrix soon.
